We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Transitions team in Barnsley, working with young people aged 16-25 years old. This position offers a competitive rate of £33 per hour.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Provide support and guidance to young people transitioning into adulthood, including assistance with education, employment, housing, and independent living skills.
- Conduct assessments and develop care plans tailored to the individual needs of each young person.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to ensure the best outcomes for the young people under your care.
- Advocate for the rights and welfare of young people, ensuring their voices are heard and their choices respected.
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with relevant experience in working with young people in a transitions or similar setting.
- Registration with Social Work England and a valid DBS check.

- Strong assessment and case management skills, with a focus on person-centered approaches.
