We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Thurrock Children & Families Assessment Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in assessing the needs of children and families, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Undertaking assessments of children and families in need of support or protection
  • Developing and implementing care plans to address identified needs
  • Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams and partner agencies
  • Providing support and guidance to families to promote positive outcomes
  • Participating in case conferences and court proceedings as required

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with relevant registration and experience
  • Sound knowledge of child protection procedures and legislation
  • Excellent assessment and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a complex caseload
