Wokingham Borough Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Adults Duty team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services to adults in need, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and access to necessary resources. You will work closely with individuals, families, and other professionals to assess needs, develop care plans, and facilitate appropriate interventions.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of individuals' needs and risks. Developing, implementing, and reviewing care plans in collaboration with service users and their families. Providing guidance and support to junior staff and students, fostering a culture of learning and professional development. Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to ensure integrated service delivery. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., degree in social work or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Significant experience in adult social work, particularly within a duty or assessment context. Strong communication, interpersonal, and advocacy skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
