We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Post Order and Permanence Team in Rochdale. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing cases post-order, ensuring the permanence and stability of placements for children in need.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to determine their needs and support requirements
  • Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with stakeholders to promote the well-being and safety of children
  • Providing ongoing support and guidance to children in care, foster families, and adoptive parents
  • Attending court hearings and reviews to represent the best interests of the children
  • Working closely with other professionals, such as health care providers and educators, to ensure holistic support for children

The ideal candidate for this role will possess:

  • A recognized social work qualification and registration with Social Work England
  • Demonstrated experience working in a similar role within a social work setting
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions in complex situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals
  • A commitment to promoting the rights and welfare of children and advocating for their needs
