We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our team in Islington, focusing on Child in Need (CIN) Provider Services. In this role, you will be responsible for completing Child and Family Assessments to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and families in our community.
Key responsibilities and duties:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify their needs and risks. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams and external agencies. Providing support and guidance to less experienced social workers and participating in case conferences and reviews. Advocating for the rights and best interests of children and families within the legal framework. Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records.Essential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with a valid registration with Social Work England. Demonstrated experience in completing Child and Family Assessments within a statutory setting. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection and safeguarding. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients and professionals. Ability to work independently, make sound decisions under pressure, and manage a complex caseload effectively.Additional requirements:
