Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with disabilities? We are seeking a qualified Social Worker to join our dynamic team in Nottinghamshire. In this role, you will work collaboratively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams to provide essential support, guidance, and advocacy for children with disabilities, ensuring their needs are met and their voices are heard.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting assessments to identify the needs of children with disabilities and their families. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Providing ongoing support and intervention to children and families, ensuring access to necessary services. Advocating for the rights and best interests of children with disabilities within various settings. Maintaining accurate case records and documentation in line with statutory requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognised social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children with disabilities and their families. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships. Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in social work.

This position will be for a period of 6 months but is likely to be extended. The Children with Disabilities Team is a specialist social work team working with disabled children, young people and their families.

The team are a well-established, experienced team with their work covering the full range of statutory duties in the delivery of the service.

Within the team, they work with families on a Child in Need basis, those where there are safeguarding concerns and children in our care, and Early Intervention Social Workers who are the initial point of contact for families with the Team.

There is parking nearby and the role is hybrid 3 days in the office and 2 from home. All visits are face to face.

Regular supervision and reasonable caseload to the right social worker
