We're recruiting for a Family Help Social Worker to join a supportive locality team in Leominster, where you'll work with children and families to deliver high-quality interventions that promote positive, sustainable outcomes.

Working within a restorative practice model, you'll be supported by approachable managers who encourage collaboration, reflection, and professional development, even with the most complex cases.

The Role

As a Family Help Social Worker, you'll:

Manage a varied and complex caseload as the Family Help Lead Practitioner.Complete assessments, identify risk, and develop effective Family Help Plans.Build restorative relationships with children, young people, and their families.Work collaboratively with partner agencies to deliver coordinated support.Chair and contribute to Child in Need meetings, Core Groups, Strategy Meetings, and other multi-agency forums.Undertake safeguarding and child protection work where required.Complete high-quality recordings, assessments, reports, and court work where necessary.Promote positive outcomes for children while ensuring their safety and wellbeing.About You

To be considered, you must have:

✅ A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent).✅ Current Social Work England registration.✅ A minimum of 3 years' post-qualified permanent experience within an English Local Authority.✅ Strong experience working with children and families in a statutory setting.✅ Sound knowledge of safeguarding, child protection legislation, the Children Act 1989 & 2004, and current statutory guidance.✅ Excellent assessment, communication, and relationship-building skills.✅ The ability to manage a busy caseload and produce high-quality written work.Contract DetailsLocation: LeominsterRate: £30.57 per hourHours: 37 per weekContract: 3 months with the possibility of extension
