We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Worcestershire Duty and Assessment Team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and families in need within the local community.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Undertaking timely and thorough assessments of children and families in crisis situations
  • Developing and implementing care plans to address identified needs and risks
  • Providing direct support and intervention to children and families to ensure their safety and well-being
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and working collaboratively with partners to achieve positive outcomes
  • Conducting home visits and maintaining accurate case records in compliance with statutory requirements

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a recognized social work qualification
  • Registered with Social Work England
  • Demonstrated experience in child protection, assessment, and care planning
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage challenging situations
