Children's SW - Assessment Team - Devon
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's Social Worker to join our Assessment Team in Devon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments of children and families to ensure their safety and well-being.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Undertake initial assessments and investigations to determine the needs and risks faced by children and families.
- Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with other professionals and agencies to provide appropriate support and interventions.
- Conduct home visits, interviews, and observations to gather relevant information and evidence for assessments.
- Work closely with children, families, and carers to build positive relationships and empower them to make positive changes.
- Prepare detailed reports and attend court hearings as required to present evidence and recommendations.
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with a valid HCPC registration.
- Experience working in a similar role within Children's Services, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and policies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make evidence-based decisions and recommendations.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing a complex caseload while prioritizing tasks efficiently.
Additional requirements:
- Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
