Herefordshire - QSW - Assessment Team(PERM)

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Assessment Team in Herefordshire on a permanent basis. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in assessing the needs of vulnerable children and families to ensure they receive the support and services they require.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify risks and protective factors
  • Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with service users and other professionals
  • Providing direct support and intervention to children and families in crisis situations
  • Participating in case conferences, court proceedings, and multi-agency meetings
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and interventions

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with current registration with Social Work England
  • Experience working in a similar role within a statutory social work setting
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills with the ability to make evidence-based decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with service users and stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and challenging environment
