We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Tameside Duty & Assessment team. As a member of this dynamic team, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and families in need.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Undertake timely and thorough assessments of children and families to identify risks and needs.
  • Develop and implement care plans that promote positive outcomes for service users.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the best interests of children are met.
  • Participate in duty rota systems to respond to safeguarding concerns and emergencies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with statutory requirements.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a recognized social work qualification.
  • Registered with Social Work England and eligible to work in the UK.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting assessments and interventions within a statutory social work setting.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child safeguarding.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with service users and colleagues.
