We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Subject Access Officer - QSW to join our team in Durham. As a key member of our Qualified Social Work department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and facilitating subject access requests.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Process subject access requests in a timely and efficient manner
  • Review and redact sensitive information in accordance with data protection laws
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information for requests
  • Provide guidance and support to staff on data protection and subject access matters
  • Maintain accurate records of all subject access requests and outcomes

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker (QSW) certification
  • Demonstrated experience in handling subject access requests and data protection compliance
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation, including GDPR and Data Protection Act
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize workload effectively
