We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Long Term Fieldwork / Child Protection Team in Nottingham City. As a member of this team, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable children and families.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Undertaking comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify risks and needs
  • Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with service users and partner agencies
  • Conducting home visits, interviews, and case conferences to monitor progress and ensure the safety of children
  • Providing support and guidance to families to enhance their parenting skills and promote positive outcomes
  • Participating in court proceedings and preparing reports and statements as required

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a valid HCPC registration
  • Demonstrated experience in working within a Child Protection or Long Term Fieldwork team
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures in the social work field
  • Excellent assessment, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage complex cases efficiently
