We are currently seeking a Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Adoption Team in Southend On Sea. This role offers a competitive rate of £38 per hour and an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children and families in need.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Undertaking assessments of prospective adopters to ensure they meet the necessary criteria and provide a safe and nurturing environment for children.
  • Supporting and guiding adoptive families through the adoption process, providing ongoing assistance and intervention as required.
  • Working collaboratively with other professionals, including social workers, therapists, and healthcare providers, to ensure the best outcomes for children in care.
  • Participating in case conferences, court hearings, and other legal proceedings related to adoption cases.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with relevant experience in adoption services.
  • Registration with Social Work England and a valid DBS check.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and policies related to adoption and child welfare.

Additional requirements for this role may include occasional travel within the region, attendance at training sessions or conferences, and participation in team meetings and supervision sessions.
