We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Front Door Team in Devon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing and managing the initial contacts and referrals received concerning children and families in need of support or protection.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
Conducting assessments and making decisions on the most appropriate course of action for children and families. Working collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to ensure the safety and well-being of children. Providing support and guidance to families to help them overcome challenges and improve their circumstances. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all interventions and actions taken. Participating in team meetings, case conferences, and training sessions to enhance your professional development.The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with a recognized social work qualification. Registered with Social Work England or eligible for registration. Demonstrated experience in working with children and families in a social work setting. Strong assessment and decision-making skills with the ability to prioritize and manage a complex caseload. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals.In addition to the above, candidates should be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check and possess a valid driving license with access to a vehicle for work purposes.
