Children’s PM - Permanence Team - Greenwich

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Children’s Permanence Team Manager to join our team in Greenwich. As a key member of our Qualified Social Work department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children in need of permanency solutions.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Manage a team of social workers and support staff to deliver high-quality services for children in care
  • Oversee the planning and implementation of permanency plans for children, including adoption and long-term foster care
  • Provide guidance and support to team members in complex case management and decision-making processes
  • Collaborate with external agencies, including courts and other social care professionals, to ensure the best outcomes for children
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and services, making recommendations for improvements as needed

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with current registration with the HCPC
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and supervising social work teams within a children’s services setting
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to children in care and permanency planning
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Proven ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and make sound decisions in challenging situations
