Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing and evaluating the needs of children and families to provide tailored support.
  • Conducting home visits and fostering assessments, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Developing and implementing care plans in partnership with children, families, and foster carers.
  • Providing ongoing support and supervision to foster families, including training and development opportunities.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with local authority policies and procedures.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience working within children's services, particularly in fostering or adoption.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding practices.
