Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Childrens Safeguarding Social Worker to join a busy and supportive team in Northampton. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled locum professional who can hit the ground running and make an immediate impact in safeguarding vulnerable children and families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake statutory safeguarding duties in line with legislation and best practice
  • Carry out assessments, care planning and reviews
  • Manage a complex caseload effectively within agreed timescales
  • Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children
  • Attend court proceedings and provide high-quality reports where required
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' permanent post-qualified experience within an English Local Authority
  • Strong background in Children's Safeguarding
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage a demanding caseload
  • SWE registration (Social Work England)
  • Full right to work in the UK
