We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Social Work - Children in Care (CIC) team in Stockport. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people in our care system. As a member of our team, you will work collaboratively with families, children, and other professionals to provide the highest standards of support and intervention.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing care plans in partnership with children, families, and relevant stakeholders. Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and local safeguarding policies. Providing ongoing support and guidance to children and their families throughout the care process. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to decision-making processes. Maintaining accurate and timely records of casework and interventions.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker status with a recognized degree in Social Work. Registration with Social Work England. Demonstrable experience working with children and families, particularly in a Children in Care setting. Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
