As a Children's Team Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Support and Protection Team. Your key responsibilities will include:
Leading and managing a team of social workers, providing guidance, supervision, and support. Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies in child protection and safeguarding. Conducting regular performance reviews and facilitating professional development opportunities. Collaborating with partner agencies to create effective multi-agency plans for children and families. Managing complex cases and making critical decisions to safeguard children at risk.The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Significant experience in children's social work, particularly in child protection and safeguarding. Strong leadership abilities with a track record of managing and developing teams. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with children, families, and professionals.
