Nottingham City is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Specialist Social Worker to join our team, focusing on Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC), No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF), and intentional homelessness cases. This role is crucial in providing essential support and safeguarding to vulnerable individuals and families within our community. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for our clients.
Key responsibilities include:
Assessing the needs of UASC and NRPF individuals and families to develop tailored support plans. Conducting comprehensive assessments and reviews in line with statutory requirements and best practice guidelines. Providing direct support and guidance to clients, helping them navigate complex immigration and housing issues. Collaborating with internal teams and external agencies to facilitate access to resources and services. Maintaining accurate case records and documentation in accordance with local policies and procedures.To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience working with UASC, NRPF cases, and homelessness. Strong understanding of relevant legislation and safeguarding practices.
