Buckinghamshire Council is seeking an Assistant Team Manager for our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) in Aylesbury. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in safeguarding children and young people, working collaboratively with a range of agencies to ensure their safety and well-being.
As the Assistant Team Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Team Manager in the day-to-day management of the MASH team. Your key responsibilities will include:
Supervising and mentoring social workers and support staff to ensure high-quality practice and compliance with safeguarding standards. Contributing to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and best practices within the MASH. Conducting assessments and reviews to identify risks and ensure appropriate interventions are in place. Collaborating with partner agencies to facilitate effective information sharing and coordinated responses. Participating in case discussions and decision-making processes to safeguard children and young people.To be considered for this role, you must possess a relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent) and hold current registration with Social Work England. In addition, the following qualifications and skills are essential:
Experience in child protection or safeguarding work, preferably within a multi-agency environment. Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals.
