Join our dedicated team in Stockport as a Social Worker specializing in Children in Care. We are seeking a passionate and committed individual to support vulnerable children and their families, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development. In this role, you will work collaboratively with various stakeholders to provide high-quality social work services, making a positive impact on the lives of children in care.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with children, families, and other professionals. Providing direct support and intervention to children in care, ensuring their emotional and physical well-being. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in accordance with legal and organizational requirements. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding initiatives.

To be successful in this role, you will need the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Experience working with children in care or similar settings. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. Knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding practices.
