The Role

As a Supervising Social Worker within the Kinship Fostering Team, you will:

  • Complete comprehensive kinship fostering assessments
  • Undertake court-directed assessments and prepare high-quality reports
  • Assess the suitability of family members and connected persons as foster carers
  • Provide ongoing support, supervision and guidance to approved kinship carers
  • Work closely with children's social workers, legal teams and multi-agency partners
  • Ensure compliance with fostering regulations, legislation and safeguarding procedures
  • Participate in the duty rota as required

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will have:

βœ… Social Work England Registration

βœ… Qualified Social Worker (Degree, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent)

βœ… Experience within Fostering, Kinship, Connected Persons or Family & Friends Assessments

βœ… Strong report-writing and assessment skills

βœ… Sound knowledge of fostering legislation, safeguarding and child protection procedures

βœ… Ability to manage competing priorities and court timescales effectively

βœ… Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle
