Part Time - Fostering Service - 18.5 Hrs (3 days) - Southend On Sea - £38 PH

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Fostering Service team on a part-time basis in Southend On Sea. This role will require 18.5 hours of work spread across 3 days per week, offering a competitive rate of £38 per hour.

Key responsibilities and duties for this position include:

  • Assessing the needs of children and families to determine suitability for fostering
  • Providing support and guidance to foster carers to ensure the well-being and safety of children in their care
  • Conducting regular home visits and reviews to monitor the progress and development of foster placements
  • Working collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to coordinate care plans and interventions
  • Participating in case conferences and court hearings as required

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with relevant registration and professional accreditation
  • Demonstrated experience working within the field of fostering services, preferably within a local authority setting
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills with the ability to make informed decisions in complex situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, families, and stakeholders effectively
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team to achieve positive outcomes for children in care
