MASH - Part Time Enhanced Senior Social Worker - Wakefield
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced MASH - Part Time Enhanced Senior Social Worker to join our team in Wakefield. In this role, you will play a crucial part in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable children and families. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking complex assessments and making informed decisions to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
- Providing expert advice and guidance to colleagues and partner agencies on child protection issues.
- Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and implement effective intervention plans.
- Participating in case conferences, strategy meetings, and court proceedings as required.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of services through reflective practice and sharing best practices.
The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with a valid HCPC registration.
- Demonstrable experience working within a MASH or child protection setting.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to safeguarding children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with service users and stakeholders.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage a complex caseload, and prioritize tasks effectively.
In addition to the essential qualifications and skills, the successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check and provide satisfactory references.
