We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Tameside Emergency Duty Team (EDT). As a member of the EDT, you will play a crucial role in providing emergency social work services during evenings, weekends, and holidays, ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable individuals in crisis situations.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Responding to emergency situations promptly and effectively
  • Assessing the needs and risks of individuals and families in crisis
  • Developing and implementing care plans to safeguard vulnerable individuals
  • Liaising with other agencies and professionals to coordinate support services
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and reports

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Demonstrated experience in working within a statutory social work setting
  • Strong assessment and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize workload

  • Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
