We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Tameside Emergency Duty Team (EDT). As a member of the EDT, you will play a crucial role in providing emergency social work services during evenings, weekends, and holidays, ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable individuals in crisis situations.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Responding to emergency situations promptly and effectively
- Assessing the needs and risks of individuals and families in crisis
- Developing and implementing care plans to safeguard vulnerable individuals
- Liaising with other agencies and professionals to coordinate support services
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and reports
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Demonstrated experience in working within a statutory social work setting
- Strong assessment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize workload
Additional requirements:
- Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Full UK driving license and access to own vehicle
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and training
