We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Practitioner to join our Duty & Assessment team in Tameside. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, making decisions on appropriate interventions, and providing support to vulnerable children and families.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Undertaking complex assessments to identify risks and needs of children and families.
  • Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with service users and partner agencies.
  • Providing expert advice and guidance to less experienced team members.
  • Participating in case conferences, court proceedings, and multi-agency meetings.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practice standards.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with HCPC registration.
  • Demonstrable experience working in a similar role within a statutory social work setting.
  • Strong assessment and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a complex caseload.
