We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced social worker to join our Bolton - DTM - Duty & Assessment Team. As a member of this team, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and families in the local community.

Key responsibilities and duties of this position include:

  • Conducting assessments of children and families to determine their needs and risks
  • Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with other professionals and agencies
  • Providing support and intervention services to families to address safeguarding concerns
  • Participating in case conferences, court proceedings, and multidisciplinary meetings
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and reports

The essential qualifications and skills required for this role are:

  • Qualified Social Work (QSW) status and registration with Social Work England
  • Demonstrated experience in child protection, assessment, and care planning
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children, families, and colleagues
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures in social work practice
