Senior Social Worker - Assessment Safeguarding Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Assessment Safeguarding Services team in the field of Qualified Social Work. As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in assessing and safeguarding vulnerable individuals, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals and families to determine their needs and risks.
  • Develop and implement effective safeguarding plans in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to junior social work staff, contributing to their professional development.
  • Participate in case conferences, court proceedings, and other relevant meetings to advocate for the best interests of service users.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and confidentiality requirements.

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a relevant degree and HCPC registration.
  • Demonstrable experience in conducting complex assessments and interventions within a safeguarding context.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to social work practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals and stakeholders.
  • Effective decision-making abilities, critical thinking skills, and the capacity to work autonomously and as part of a team.
