Join our dedicated Locality Child Protection Team in Wakefield as a Senior Social Worker and make a significant impact in the lives of children and families. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading assessments, developing and implementing care plans, and ensuring the safety and well-being of children in need. You will work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including families, schools, and other agencies, to provide support and interventions tailored to individual needs.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and reviewing child protection plans in partnership with families and multi-agency teams. Providing expert guidance and supervision to junior social workers and support staff. Maintaining accurate and timely case records in compliance with legal and procedural requirements. Participating in court proceedings and presenting evidence as necessary.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. A minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in child protection or related fields. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build rapport with children and families.

We are seeking a qualified Children's Social Worker (SSW) to join our Child Protection (CP) Team in Yorkshire. In this role, you will work collaboratively with families, local authorities, and other professionals to safeguard and promote the welfare of children at risk.
