Wakefield's Locality/Safeguarding Team is seeking a dedicated and skilled Children's Social Worker (SSW) to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will work collaboratively to ensure the safety and well-being of children in our community, providing support to families and fostering positive outcomes.
As a Children's Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments and developing care plans for children and families in need. Building trusting relationships with children and their families to encourage engagement and participation in safeguarding processes. Collaborating with multi-agency teams to ensure comprehensive support for children at risk. Monitoring and reviewing cases to ensure the effectiveness of interventions. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with local and national policies.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in child protection and safeguarding practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
