Join our dedicated Children’s Social Work Team on the beautiful Isle of Wight as a Qualified Social Worker (SSW) in the Children and Families (C&F) sector. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments of children and families to determine their needs and the level of risk involved.
  • Developing and implementing tailored care plans in partnership with families and relevant agencies.
  • Providing ongoing support and guidance to families, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and services.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and collaborating with other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to child welfare.

To be considered for this role, you must hold a relevant social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work) and be registered with Social Work England. Essential skills include:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Excellent assessment and analytical skills to identify and respond to complex situations.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in child protection and family support.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a varied caseload.
