Join our dedicated Children's Social Work Team in West Berkshire as a Qualified Social Worker (SSW) within the Children in Care (CIC) Team. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments and developing care plans for children in care.
  • Working collaboratively with children, families, and multi-agency partners to deliver effective interventions.
  • Managing a caseload of children in care, ensuring all statutory requirements are met.
  • Participating in court proceedings and providing expert testimony when necessary.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with local and national guidelines.

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Demonstrable experience in working with children and families, particularly within the Children in Care sector.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating resilience and adaptability.
