Join our dedicated LAC Team in Bromley as a Qualified Social Worker (QSW) and make a real difference in the lives of children and young people in care. We are offering a competitive rate of £37.52 per hour (Umbrella) for a motivated professional committed to enhancing the well-being of vulnerable children and their families. As a Qualified Social Worker in our LAC Team, your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing care plans for children in care. Working collaboratively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes. Monitoring and reviewing the progress of children in care, ensuring their needs are met. Providing guidance and support to foster carers and adoptive families. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in compliance with statutory requirements.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (degree or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience working within a children’s social care setting, specifically with looked-after children. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding practices.

As a Children's Social Worker in the LAC Team, your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children's needs and risks, and developing care plans that meet their individual requirements. Working collaboratively with children, families, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care and support. Monitoring and reviewing the progress of children in care, ensuring that their voices are heard and their needs are prioritized. Providing expert advice and support to foster carers and adoptive families, facilitating training and workshops as necessary. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with statutory requirements and best practices.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience working with children and families in a social work setting, particularly with looked after children. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively.
