Are you a passionate and dedicated Qualified Social Worker looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families? CAFCASS is seeking a Family Court Advisor (FCA) to cover the Sussex & Surrey regions. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with families involved in court proceedings, ensuring that children's voices are heard and their best interests are upheld.

As a Family Court Advisor, your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting assessments of children and families to inform court decisions. Preparing written reports for court hearings that reflect the needs and wishes of the children involved. Providing expert advice and support to families, solicitors, and the judiciary. Working collaboratively with a range of professionals, including social services, schools, and mental health services. Participating in court hearings and advocating for the best interests of children.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Significant experience in child protection and family court work. Strong analytical and report-writing skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.

Additional requirements include a valid driving license and access to a vehicle for travel within the designated areas.
