We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's Assistant Team Manager to join our Fostering Team in Wrexham. As the Children's Assistant Team Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Team Manager in the day-to-day management of the fostering team.
  • Overseeing the assessment and approval of foster carers, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Providing supervision and support to social workers, promoting best practices in fostering.
  • Conducting performance reviews and contributing to the professional development of team members.
  • Collaborating with external agencies and stakeholders to enhance service delivery and outcomes for children.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A relevant social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registered with Social Care Wales (or eligible for registration).
  • Significant experience in children's social work, particularly in fostering or placement services.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
