We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Child Protection Practitioner to join our dynamic team in Nottinghamshire. This pivotal role involves leading and supporting a team of social workers in delivering high-quality child protection services, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children and families within our community. You will play a key role in assessing complex cases, developing intervention strategies, and collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes for children.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and supervising a team of social workers, providing guidance and support in child protection cases. Conducting assessments and developing care plans that meet the needs of children and families. Ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements in child protection practice. Collaborating with external agencies, including schools, health services, and law enforcement, to safeguard children. Providing training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work) and current registration with Social Work England. Significant post-qualifying experience in child protection and safeguarding. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building positive relationships with families and professionals.
