The London Borough of Tower Hamlets is seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker (SSW) to join our Looked After Children (LAC) Team. As a Children's Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out statutory duties, including court proceedings and attending child protection conferences.
  • Providing direct support and guidance to children in care, fostering positive relationships and emotional resilience.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely records in accordance with local policies and procedures.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience working with children and families, preferably within a looked-after children context.
  • Strong assessment, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams and external agencies.
