We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join the EDT Team in St. Helens. This role offers a competitive rate of £44.21 per hour (Umbrella) and presents an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals and families.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Conducting assessments and investigations to determine the needs and risks of service users.
  • Developing and implementing care plans to support and safeguard children and adults in need.
  • Providing direct support and intervention to service users in crisis situations.
  • Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and external agencies to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Participating in case conferences, court proceedings, and reviews to advocate for the best interests of service users.

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a valid HCPC registration.
  • Demonstrated experience in working within a statutory social work setting, preferably within an EDT Team.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to social work practice.
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage complex caseloads.
