Join our dedicated Children’s DTM - MASH Team in Wigan, where your expertise in social work can make a significant difference in the lives of children and families. We are seeking a passionate and qualified social worker to contribute to our multi-agency safeguarding hub (MASH). In this role, you will work collaboratively with various professionals to assess and respond to safeguarding concerns, ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children within our community.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting initial assessments and screening of referrals to determine the level of risk and necessary interventions. Collaborating with police, health services, and educational professionals to gather relevant information and provide a holistic response to safeguarding concerns. Preparing and presenting reports for strategy meetings and case conferences. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with statutory requirements and organizational policies. Providing support and guidance to families, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and services.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multi-agency environment.
