We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Lancashire Adoption Recruitment & Assessment Team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the adoption process by assessing prospective adopters, recruiting suitable families, and supporting them throughout their adoption journey.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of prospective adopters to determine their suitability for adoption.
  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract a diverse range of potential adoptive families.
  • Provide support and guidance to both adopters and children throughout the adoption process.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals, such as social workers and adoption agencies, to ensure the best outcomes for children in need of adoption.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all adoption assessments and placements.

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a valid HCPC registration.
  • Experience working in the field of adoption and a strong understanding of the adoption process.
  • Excellent assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions in complex situations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating professionalism and empathy at all times.
