Middlesbrough Borough Council is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Social Care - Child Protection Safeguarding and Planning Team. Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and local policies.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to child protection conferences.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience in child protection and safeguarding within a social work setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a complex caseload effectively.
