Derbyshire County Council is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Children in Care (CIC) team. As a vital member of our organization, you will play a key role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children who are in care. You will work collaboratively with children, families, and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for vulnerable children and young people in our community.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with children, families, and relevant stakeholders. Providing support and guidance to foster carers and adoptive families. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Participating in multi-agency meetings to ensure a coordinated approach to care. Advocating for the rights and needs of children in care.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children and families in a social work setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
