Caritas Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Adult Safeguarding Social Worker to join Knowsley Council's Adult Services team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated practitioner with safeguarding experience who is passionate about promoting the welfare, safety and wellbeing of vulnerable adults. Experience within an Adult MASH environment would be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake safeguarding enquiries under Section 42 of the Care Act 2014
  • Manage a caseload of approximately 12-15 cases
  • Assess and manage varying levels of risk, complexity and uncertainty
  • Ensure safeguarding concerns are managed in line with the Care Act 2014 and Knowsley's safeguarding procedures
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard adults at risk
  • Complete safeguarding investigations and enquiries to a high professional standard
  • Participate in the Adult MASH duty rota one day per week
  • Take safeguarding referrals, complete partnership checks and undertake initial enquiries
  • Provide cover for duty services during periods of annual leave and sickness where required
  • Maintain accurate case records and comply with GDPR, Data Protection and Information Security requirements

Requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
  • Experience working within Adult Safeguarding services
  • Strong knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and safeguarding legislation
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively
  • Excellent assessment, risk management and partnership working skills
  • Adult MASH experience desirable
