We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Manager to join our Complex Team in Hammersmith & Fulham. As a pivotal member of our social work department, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of social workers and support staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to vulnerable children and families in the area.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Supervising and supporting a team of social workers in their casework, providing guidance and direction as needed
  • Managing complex cases involving child protection, domestic violence, mental health issues, and substance misuse
  • Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with other agencies and professionals to safeguard the welfare of children
  • Conducting regular case reviews, assessments, and evaluations to monitor progress and outcomes
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures to maintain high standards of practice

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with HCPC registration
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within a social work setting, preferably within child protection services
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues and external partners
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and best practice guidelines in social work
