In this vital role, you will work collaboratively with a diverse range of professionals to support individuals with learning disabilities, ensuring they lead fulfilling and independent lives within the community.
As the Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the team, providing leadership and guidance to social workers and support staff. Your key responsibilities will include:
Supervising and mentoring team members, fostering professional development and best practices. Managing complex cases, ensuring high-quality assessments and support plans are in place. Collaborating with external agencies and stakeholders to facilitate effective service delivery. Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and safeguarding policies. Contributing to the strategic development of services for individuals with learning disabilities.The ideal candidate will possess a recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. Essential skills and qualifications include:
Significant experience in social work, particularly within the learning disability field. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with service users and professionals. Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in social work.
