Are you a passionate and experienced social worker looking to take the next step in your career? Bath and North East Somerset (BANES) is seeking a Deputy Team Manager for our Safeguarding team. In this pivotal role, you will lead a dedicated team of social workers and support staff, ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and families within our community. You will play a crucial part in shaping safeguarding practices and driving improvements in service delivery.
As the Deputy Team Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
Supporting the Team Manager in the day-to-day management of the team, including supervision and performance management of staff. Overseeing casework and ensuring compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures. Contributing to the development and implementation of service improvements and best practices. Facilitating training and development opportunities for team members. Building strong relationships with partner agencies to promote effective collaboration in safeguarding efforts.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding, along with a solid understanding of relevant legislation. Strong leadership and management abilities, with a proven track record in supervising social work staff.
