Southwark - Deputy Team Manager - Adult Social Care
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Deputy Team Manager to join our Adult Social Care team in Southwark. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Team Manager in overseeing the delivery of high-quality social work services to vulnerable adults in the community.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Assist the Team Manager in managing a team of social workers and support staff
- Provide supervision, guidance, and support to team members
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies in the delivery of social care services
- Conduct assessments and reviews of service users to identify their needs and develop care plans
- Collaborate with other agencies and professionals to coordinate holistic care for service users
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with HCPC registration
- Demonstrated experience in adult social care, including working with vulnerable adults and their families
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and prioritize workload effectively
Additional requirements:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within adult social care is highly desirable
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies governing adult social care services
