The Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Social Worker to join a Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) in Newham. This is a fast-paced team where you will play a key role in screening and decision-making, with some delegated management responsibilities.
You will work with a manageable but high-volume caseload, handling time-sensitive contacts and ensuring effective triage of safeguarding concerns in line with statutory responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage 8-10 contacts per day, primarily Amber and occasional Green cases
- Undertake robust screening, information gathering and risk analysis within MASH
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies to ensure timely safeguarding decisions
- Support with delegated management tasks where required
- Maintain accurate and timely case recording in line with statutory expectations
Essential Requirements
- Previous MASH experience is essential
- Ability to work effectively in a pressurised, fast-paced environment with time-sensitive demands
- Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
Working Arrangements
- Hybrid model with required office attendance on allocated days
- Current hybrid policy not expected to change within the next 3 months
