Join our dedicated Children's Social Work Team in West Berkshire as a Qualified Social Worker (SSW) within the Children in Care (CIC) Team. This is an exciting opportunity for passionate professionals who are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of children and families. You will play a pivotal role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, ensuring they receive the support and care they deserve.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments and developing care plans for children in care. Working collaboratively with children, families, and multi-agency partners to deliver effective interventions. Managing a caseload of children in care, ensuring all statutory requirements are met. Participating in court proceedings and providing expert testimony when necessary. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with local and national guidelines.To be successful in this role, you must possess:
A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Demonstrable experience in working with children and families, particularly within the Children in Care sector. Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
