The London Borough of Havering is seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Safeguarding Team. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable children, providing them with the support they need to thrive.
In this role, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children and families in need of support. Developing and implementing effective care plans tailored to individual family circumstances. Working closely with multi-agency partners to safeguard children and promote their welfare. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with local and national standards. Providing support and guidance to families, empowering them to achieve positive outcomes.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working in children's services, particularly in safeguarding roles. Strong assessment and analytical skills with a commitment to evidence-based practice.
